Centre for Ageing Population Studies and PRIMENT Clinical Trials Unit
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with an interest in dementia or ageing research and primary care for this three-year full-time PhD Studentship, funded by the Alzheimer’s Society. The post is based in the Centre for Ageing Population Studies in the UCL Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health (PCPH). The PhD student will join a national multi-disciplinary team experienced in systematic reviews, behaviour change, qualitative studies, clinical trials, and engagement with people with dementia and their carers. The successful candidate will develop a PhD project, exploring the experiences of health care systems from the perspective of a person with dementia and/or their carer, linked to the PriDem programme. The studentship provides an excellent opportunity for a researcher who has an interest in qualitative methodology and in developing a career in research in dementia and primary care. Funding is available for 3 years to cover PhD registration fees (UK/EU), and a stipend (at the rate of £16,000 per annum).
