Umar Ikram wins Volksgezondheidsprijs 2016 with his thesis: 'Social determinants of ethnic minority health in Europe'

On Wednesday the 12th of April, APH researcher Umar Ikram won the Volksgezondheidsprijs 2016 with his thesis: 'Social determinants of ethnic minority health in Europe'.  The thesis was written under the supervision of promoters Anton Kunst en Karien Stronks. APH researcher Joreintje Mackenbach received an honourable mention on her thesis 'Exploring obesogenic environments: The role of environmental factors for obesity-related behaviours and obesity.'
