On World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD), September 10th, the first Jan Mokkenstorm award for research will be available

Every year on World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) on the 10th of September, ‘113 Zelfmoordpreventie’ and ‘Suicide Research the Netherlands’ award the Jan Mokkenstorm award to a good example from practice or research, that evidently contributes to decreasing suicide in the Netherlands. The award for a good example from practice or good research alternates each year.

This year on September 10 the first Jan Mokkenstorm award for research will be available: a talent-encouragement award for a researcher who with his/her research has evidently contributed to fewer suicides in the Netherlands. 

Criteria:

·         You’re a junior researcher or PhD student

·         You’re research is written down in a scientific paper (should not be published yet)

·         You’re the first author of this article

The award ceremony of the Jan Mokkenstorm award 2020 will take place on the congress ‘Suïcidepreventie: van goedbedoelend naar professioneel’  by APH Mental Health program leader Prof. Dr. Aartjan Beekman (director of the board of SURE-Net).
