Every year on World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) on the 10th of September, ‘113 Zelfmoordpreventie’ and ‘Suicide Research the Netherlands’ award the Jan Mokkenstorm award to a good example from practice or research, that evidently contributes to decreasing suicide in the Netherlands. The award for a good example from practice or good research alternates each year.
This year on September 10 the first Jan Mokkenstorm award for research will be available: a talent-encouragement award for a researcher who with his/her research has evidently contributed to fewer suicides in the Netherlands.
