APH researcher Leonie Visser works as a researcher at Alzheimer center Amsterdam, in collaboration with the department of Medical Psychology (Amsterdam UMC).
She contributes to personalized, person-centered care for people with mild cognitive impairment and dementia, by enhancing medical communication in memory clinics. She aims to support clinicians, patients and their care partners during medical consultations, by providing them with evidence-based tools, such as animated video's that help prepare patients for their memory clinic visit.
Leonie is nominated for a Young Outstanding Researcher award by Alzheimer Nederland, the Dutch patient organization. Receiving this award (100.000 euro) would enable her to continue her important research. She needs your vote!
