Registration is now open for this year’s U21 Health Sciences Group Virtual Annual Meeting hosted by University College Dublin, College of Health and Agriculture Science The programme of events will feature online presentations, live panel discussions, and interactive workshops on the theme of 'One Health: A Collaborative Approach to Health'.
Forum topics include 'Societal Impacts of COVID-19', 'Food and the Environment' and 'Antimicrobial Resistance'.
We are delighted to be joined by an outstanding line-up of speakers, including Professor Ken Winkle, University of Melbourne who will present on ‘Health and the Environment’, Professor Melrose Stewart, University of Birmingham who will speak to the topic of ‘Race and Health’ and Prof Jonna Mazet, UC Davis who will give a talk on ‘Next Generation’ as part of our 'COVID19: Training for future pandemics' session. Professor Barbara Dooley, UCD will give a Project Update and Implementation presentation on last year's meeting's theme: 'University Mental Health'.
Alongside these presentations we will also be running regular sessions that form part of the meeting including, the Doctoral Student Forum, the Teaching Excellence Award Winners Workshop, the Sustainable Development Goals Group Forum and the Interprofessional Education Group Forum.
The UvA has been a member of the U21 since 2019. The Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group is of particular interest to AMC. This is a unique global university network of health scientists and students with members from currently 27 universities worldwide. They provide faculties in the health sciences of affiliated universities with a framework for exploring opportunities for joint (Health) research and (information) exchange (global learning).
