These lunches are aimed for postdocs or last year PhD students that are interested in getting acquainted with the different career paths in the sciences, and get tips and ideas for their career development.

For every event, we invite 3 guests with a PhD in the Life Sciences, with a mix of  conventional and unconventional career choices both inside and outside academia. In small groups, the participants have the opportunity to ask questions about those choices, ranging from the decision making process in the beginning to a simple description of a regular working day. This way, we want to stimulate discussion about career development, get PhD students and postdocs to think early on about what they like, what they want and what they could possibly do after their contract ends.

In this second edition we are inviting: Paula Miranda (Scientist Non-Clinical Development, uniQure, Amsterdam), Mercedes Valls Seron (Senior Pre-Clinical Scientist, TM3 Therapeutics, Leiden) and Jeroen van Heijst (Assistant professor at EXIM, Amsterdam UMC).

Lunch will be provided.
