After the great success of 2015's edition, we are pleased to announce the 2nd Meeting on the Molecular Biology of Ageing that will take place from Sunday evening till Wednesday noon, October 8-11, 2017, in Groningen, The Netherlands.

Registration is now open and we invite you to become a part of a leading Meeting on the Molecular Biology of Ageing by submitting an abstract.

We have succeed to gather world-leading scientists working in the diverse research areas that are relevant for understanding the biology of ageing. The meeting will begin on October 8th with an Opening Lecture by Professor Andrew Dillin, Thomas and Stacey Siebel Distinguished Chair in Stem Cell Research at the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at Berkeley.

The Program of the Meeting is organized into 10 sessions covering a wide range of topics related with the process of ageing. For each session two leading scientists will introduce the topic and present their latest work. One to two additional speakers for each session will be selected from submitted abstracts. Submitted abstracts will also be presented as posters in two sessions. We hope to stimulate new ideas and approaches and foster collaborations that will facilitate community-building in the field of ageing research.

Session topics:
Telomeres - DNA repair and genome instability – Autophagy - Immunity - Mitochondria and Apoptosis
Protein homeostasis - Nutrient sensing - (Epi)Genetics and ageing - Cellular senescence  - Stem cells
