The CWO of Amsterdam Neuroscience discusses and assesses the scientific protocols within Amsterdam Neuroscience. The CWO is chaired by professor O.A. van den Heuvel (oa.vandenheuvel@amsterdamumc.nl) and meets each month.

Research protocols

Research protocols can be submitted at any time. Protocols (complete version) for the CWO-Amsterdam Neuroscience (VUmc) and a completed assessment form should be sent electronically to Thea Laan (t.laan@vu.nl) and to prof. dr. O.A. van den Heuvel (oa.vandenheuvel@amsterdamumc.nl). Please note that the assessment form should include an abstract of the protocol and a brief description of the feasibility of the project.

VUmc METc

The METc VUmc is a recognized review committee. She tests medical-scientific research involving people. In doing so, it weighs the scientific importance of the research against the burden and the risk for the patient. The METc, as an independent administrative body (ZBO), issues judgments that are valid nationally.

VUmc Clinical Research Bureau (CRB)

The Clinical Research Officaims to maximize the quality of the implementation of research involving human subjects, both in terms of patient safety and to realize  scientific quality of research to realize. It concerns investigator initiated research.
