Sign up through the Library Event Calendar

The next session of the training ‘Writing a Data Management Plan’ for PhD students affiliated at Amsterdam UMC, location VUmc is scheduled for December 12 (for clinical research). Places are still available in this training. The deadline for registration is November 21 (see below for more information on registration). Please note that this will probably be the last time this course will be offered in this way.

In this training, you will learn how to write a good Data Management Plan (DMP), in which you will cover issues like which laws and codes of conduct your research should comply with, where you will store your data, where you will archive them for the long term and how you will make them FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). Many funding agencies nowadays request a Research DMP. In addition, all researchers at VUmc have to write a DMP, irrespective of where they get their funding from. This training can help you setting up a DMP for your own research project. Please note that you need to do some preparations before the workshop, including writing a first draft of your DMP. You will receive more information shortly after the registrations have closed. The training is worth 1 EC if you complete all compulsory components.

You can sign up through the Library Event Calendar (select the right course there). More information about the course content can be found on the VUmc PhD Portal (scroll down to the bottom of the page). If you have questions about this training, please get in touch with rdm@vu.nl.
