Friday, November 18, at the congress of the Dutch College of General Practitioners, Emiel Hoogendijk was announced winner of the ‘Heert Dokter’ prize 2016.
Emiel receives the award and a € 1000 euro cheque, for the best research article published in ‘Huisarts & Wetenschap’ in 2016. In his winning article Emiel evaluates the effect of a geriatric care model on the quality of life of frail older adults living at home. Emiel completed his PhD (2015) on this theme at the Department of General Practice & Elderly Care Medicine of VUmc and currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics/LASA of VUmc.
