Marie Curie Individual Fellowship for Marten Hoeksema

Marten Hoeksema was awarded a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship to investigate the role of the transcription factors Egr1 and Egr2 regulating enhancer activity and inflammatory potential in macrophages. His work is aimed at understanding of how disease-associated signals regulate enhancer activity in disease relevant cell types. Marten is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Prof. Chris Glass at the University of California San Diego and will move back to Amsterdam UMC to conduct this research with Prof. Menno de Winther at the department of Medical Biochemistry.
