4 ACS MD/PhD grants awarded

Pranav Bhagirath, Jouke Bokma, Camiel de Roij van Zuijdewijn and Fleur Tjong were awarded with the ACS MD/PhD grant. The MD/PhD grant (€25.000 per grant) is aimed at continuing research to become a good clinical investigator along with obtaining a medical specialization. They have 1 day a week protected research time for the coming 2 years. Congratulations!

Jouke Bokma (Cardiology AMC) - To optimize timing of pulmonary valve replacement in adults with tetralogy of Fallot

Camiel de Roij van Zuijdewijn (Nephrology VUmc) - Peri- and intradialytic hemodynamic stability in patients treated with various dialysis modalities

Fleur Tjong (Cardiology AMC) - Deep learning models for development of novel tools for identification of patients at risk of complications and shock therapy following pacemaker and ICD implantation
