ACS pitch event: Diabetes & Metabolism

We are pleased to invite you to the ACS Symposium Diabetes & Metabolism on the 3rd of September.

During the coming 5 Amsterdam Cardiovascular Sciences (ACS) symposia PI's of each research program are invited to give a pitch about their research, funding and future plans. These events will contribute to the focus and collaboration of researchers within and between the research programs of ACS. The ACS directors Bert Groen and Jolanda van der Velden will be present too. In 2013-2014, a similar action was carried out, which led to the start of ACS and the current organization as we now know it with many mutual collaborations.

The Diabetes & Metabolism research program will kick off at the 3rd of September. This event will start with a buffet from 17:00-18:00 hrs and a symposium from 18:00-20:00 hrs and takes place in Lecture Hall 4 (AMC).

PI’s and staff members of the Diabetes and Metabolism program are invited to give a short pitch about their research, funding and future plans for the coming years. Please fill out this template to give a brief explanation of your research on the basis of these three slides. We will make a summary of all the topics in the research program based on your input. So make sure your research is visible!

NB: PI’s and staff members belonging to multiple ACS research programs can present at those research program events as well. When you are not able to be present, you may ask another team member to present on your behalf.

All other researchers (PhD students, postdocs, students etc), from all research programs, are invited to come and hear about all exciting topics that are being studied in ACS, and ask questions to the PI’s presenting!

Please sign up before August 24 for the meeting of September 3, 2018 using this google form.
PI’s and staff members who would like to give a presentation the 3rd of September can send their 3 slides (using this template) to: a.f.vandeijk@amc.uva.nl and icar@vumc.nl (also before August 24).
