Ruud Wellenberg (Amsterdam UMC, location AMC) has been appointed within AMS for a period of four months to make an inventory of any COVID-19 calls, projects and proposals that are currently in preparation or up and running. Ruud will start with reaching out to the AMS program directors, but is eager to get in touch with anyone within AMS who is working on COVID related research, with the aim to bring together researchers and different expertise, to bundle existing expertise and reach for the top in COVID research. Ruud studied Technical Medicine and defended his PhD in September 2018 entitled 'Reducing metal artifacts and radiation dose in musculoskeletal CT-imaging'. Since then he has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the AMC focusing on functional 3D analyses in patients with musculoskeletal disorders using weight-bearing CT, a project which is partially funded by a AMS postdoc grant. You can get in touch with Ruud via firstname.lastname@example.org.
