Helga Haberfehlner awarded Science Prize for paper in Plos One

Helga Haberfehlner (BEW/VUmc) in 2017 won the annual science prize for children's orthopaedics awarded by the Vereinigung für Kinderorthopädie in the German speaking countries of Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The prize was awarded for the paper Knee Moment-angle characteristics and semitendinosus muscle morphology in children with spastic paresis selected for medial hamstring lengthening (2016), published in PLoS ONE 11, e0166401 by Haberfehlner H, Jaspers RT, Rutz E, Becher JG, Harlaar J, van der Sluijs JA, Witbreuk MM, Romkes J, Freslier M, Brunner R, Maas H and Buizer AI (2016). The prize was awarded at the 31st Annual Meeting of the Vereinigung für Kinderorthopädie in April 2017, held in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Helga will defend her thesis entitled Knee joint mechanics and semitendinosus muscle morphology in spastic paresis in the Aula of VU University at 11:45 hrs on February 1st, 2018. Everyone is welcome!
