Academic entrepreneur Sauvik Das Gupta (PhD candidate FGB) has been awarded an MKB- innovatiestimulering Regio en Topsectoren (MIT) grant, in collaboration with two FGB master's students (Stef Beijk & Tommie Koppens) for their startup Fitsurance BV. The grant of EUR 20.000 enables Fitsurance to do a feasibility study on the further development of their mobile application - the Fitsurance app, (for iOS and Android) that is part of the Fitsurance platform. The goal of Fitsurance is to improve health and well-being of employees. The app must improve health through automated health data analysis and personalized feedback. This project is in line with the objectives of the top sector 'High-tech Systems & Materials and ICT'. This study has a focus on the sub-theme “ICT for monitoring and control” as the app aims to monitor health and give the user control over one’s health. Another related sub-theme is “Big Data”.
