Prof. Tineke Abma comments on Hugo Borst’s columns

Professor Tineke Abma (Amsterdam UMC department of Medical Humanities - location VUmc) commented in an article at NOS on the columns written by Hugo Borst. Hugo has been writing columns for the AD Magazine for almost four years about his mother’s illness (Alzheimer) and he stood up for elderly care. Prof. Abma: "The columns show that it’s about real people, and not just numbers. It has been clear for a long time that the cuts in health care led to a  shortening of staff, but because Borst linked those numbers to a personal story and gave a solution, there was a breakthrough in the politics.”
