Effective risk communication in cardiovascular disease: distribution of heart age tool among general practitioners and patients

The concept of ‘heart age’ has shown to be effective in communicating someone’s risk to cardiovascular disease. APH researcher dr. Olga Damman, Amsterdam UMC location VUmc, is involved in the VIMP (distribution- and implementation impulse) project, which emerged from the You’re are risk project, that aims to support the heart age tool with an effective communication format. The  project also aims to distribute the tool among general practitioners and to ensure that citizens, general practitioners and other health care providers are aware of the heart age tool and they use it optimally. The project, which starts in January 2019, is supported by ZonMw.
